  Unni, I dont remember the film Maniyara. Whose film was that? Ulsavapittennu is a surprising choice. For me, it was an excellent food prepared without salt.
  I dont think the Jayaraj movies will be remebered after few years. At the most Desadanam may survive.

  MANIYARA WAS A FILM ACTED BY MAMMOOTTY - VERY SENTIMENTAL MUSLIM STORY.
  i SAW IT SOME 15 YEARS BACK. I think Nedumudi and srividya are there in it too.
  
  Jayaraj's best films include - Paithrukam, Desadanam, Kaliyattam, Thalolam , Sneham and karunam - I do not think they will be forgotten.
  When Padmarajan's films came in the late 80s many people were saying this. But they are the favourites of most decent film lovers.
  Jayaraj is the only person available to fill in the gap left by Pappu saab and Bharathan.

  my top ten movies(from the entertainment and quality point of view...movies u can sit back and appreciate)..coz thats what matters eventually not in any order:
  
  manichithratazhu(fazil's direction was phenomenal accompanied by some nice acting..the best fully commercial(non art) mallu movie i've seen)
  
  vanaprastham(nice direction, phenomenal acting, but complex theme..is best appreciated when watched more than once)
  
  bharatham(superb direction,awesome theme, lal and venu amazing)
  
  kalapani(put mallu movies on the national scene..a high budget movie..well directed though the ending was stereotypical..priyan showed that he can turn non-comedy themes to gold too)
  
  poochakorru mukkuthi(is there in this list because of the trend it set..natural comedy at its best)
  
  His Highness abdullah(a thorough entertainer with the perfect mix of comedy and drama)
  
  Aniyathipravu(is the surprise on the list but its the best love based movie i've seen,with some subtle comedy..nice direction..poor acting from boban..shalini at her quiet best..)
  
  Devasuram(tough entertainer..the tranformation of lal during the middle phase has been dealt superbly with some awesome acting and skillful direction...i.v. sasi's best movie)
  
  Megham(priyan's first mamooty movie proved to be one of mamooty's best movies..perfect acting by mamooty...nice theme...the side track flashback with pooja batra really fitted into the story..the village setting is simply great)

  uyarangalil was an MT-IV Sasi movie..?!!! the one which was screened in kairali last sunday..? i watched it only for the first half an hour. didn't find any MT touch in the movie. looked more like an old joshi-kaloor dennis movie..!! so i switched the channel to 'Aaryan'.. :)
  
  I liked their Anubandham and Aalkoottathil Thaniye more...

  njaan aa padam kurache kandolloo.. When i saw the first seen, in which Lal tries to run away with the money from the company, the story looked like that of an old Joshi Movie. Athaa njaan baaki nokkaanjathu. The same day they were screening Aaryan also. I wanted to see that thinking i haven't seen that before. But when i saw it, i found i had sen it sometime back. and finally ended up not watching any. Anyway they will screen it sometime again.
