  After reading the reviews I went to the movie with the hope that it will be atleast watchable. Esp. I expected a good visual presentation. The movie really failed to create any pulses. Graphic scenes were no different form any other tamil movie. Other than that, the stunts were height of stupidity. Story - Are u still searching for it ? Kamal has proved that he could make an idiot of himself and everybody by doing this movie. Maybe whatever they had done was hard work, but ppl have already watched Jurassic Park, MI2 etc in tamil. Tamil film makers, u better stick to taking movies without graphics. Try searching for good stories and screenplays or atleast copy some good old hollywood movies. The movie looks like Hindi Movie dubbed in Tamil and all settings have been Delhi based.   guys all the excitement is over, being an ardent fan of kamal myself, for the first time I am really let down, by his stupid venture to act in aalvandan, The bottom line is this movie sucks, sucks big time..
  This Semi crack nandakumar tries to protect his quasi crack twin Vijaykumar by trying to kill him!
  The fight scenes are totally uncalled for and is unbecoming of the padmashri, I hope better sense prevails and he continues to give ultra classic movies like Guna, Mahanadhi, Tenali, Nayakan, Devar Magan, kuridhipunal,.. the list is endless I will just convince myself that I didnt see aalvandan..

  all you people who are criticising 'abhay': if u guys prefer heroes dancing around trees like faggots then nobody can help u. appreciate the effort that kamal hassan put into this film and above all, at least appreciate the fact that he dares to be different and innovative rather than doing the same S H I T over and over again.
  
  the problem is that we in india have become so used to sugary romances and lovers singing on fluffy pink clouds that we are not used to real movies - the kind that have actual storylines and good acting. may i remind u that dancing in the streets in switzerland doesn't require any particular acting talent.

  Kamal is an egomaniac who thinks he is the greatest thing that has happened to cinema. He makes movie to potray his greatness. Hey Ram and Abhay are nothing but self obsession. Both are crappy movies. Kamal once said that we actors are next to Gods and he believes that. He tries to make westernized movies in the hope some hollywood guy might find him and cast him in a hollywood movie. Even he gives his name as "Padmashri Kamal Hassan".   The major reason for this kind of flop is the media and Ad.Since the expectation is more the reality is not fulfilled us.Like our INdian cricket team in Finals Aalavanthan did the same.

  A good film should be hit and it should bring money to the producer. If it doesn't, nobody will try again to do this type of picture and later they will be pushed to do a masala movie again.
