 Tapioca - 2 rootstems
 Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
 Green chillies - 2
Red chilli powder - 1/2 teaspoon
 Curry leaves - 1 sprig
 Coconut shredded - one half
Coconut oil - 1 table spoon
 Mustard seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
 Salt to taste

 Method:

Peel and cut the tapioca into 1/2 inch pieces
Boil Tapioca pieces. When half boiled, strain the water (this is to take off the bitterness found in tapioca skin)
Boil again by adding water, and after the water comes to a boil, strain the water again. The tapioca should only be 3/4th cooked.
Crush the green chillies and shredded coconut.
Pls be careful only to crush it and not make a paste.
Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder.
Mix 1/2 cup of water to this mixture, add salt and boil tapioca to a very semi-soft consistency.
Let the water gets completely evaporated.
Heat coconut oil in a pan, splutter mustard seeds and curry leaves. Add it to the tapioca mixture and mix it.

 Kerala fish curry

 King fish - 1kg
 Chilly powder- 2tsp
 Turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp
 fenugreek -1/2 tsp
 shallots sliced thin- 1/2 cup
 ginger sliced- 1tsp
 garlic sliced -1tsp
 curry leaves - 2 sprigs
tamarind ( ball like)- 3-4 pieces
 mustard seeds- 1/4 tsp
green chilly- 1-2 ( for flavor)
 coconut oil 2tsp.

 method
cut fish into 1" long pieces. clean well with salt and lime juice to get rid of the smell. dry roast the fenugreek seeds and powder it.In a pan put some oil ( coconut oil preferred), splutter mustard seeds, put sliced shallots, green chilies, ginger and garlic and saute' for some some. Soak chilly powder and turmeric in 2tsp of water and add to the pan.saute in low heat for 1 minute, add enough water to cover the fish pieces, put the sliced tamarind and allow it to boil. When water boils put the fish pieces, add curry leaves and cover. Once it comes to boil, add the powdered fenugreek. Once it is cooked turn off the fire and put 1tsp of coconut oil on the top of it (optional).

You can cook any fish with the same mathod, but best with king fish and sardines.
fish curry is best when made in earthen cookware, and it is best to taste when kept overnight in same vessel.
