The movie started and everyone were on their feets for about 10-15min,only thing to be heard is NOTHING for all these time.by the time audience got settled in their seats i saw Vijay racing with guy called as thalai ;) Ok now coming to the movie Thirumalai(Vijay) is a bike mechanic in a area puthupettai. He falls in love with Swetha(Jothika),opposition from RICH father, gets help from don Arasu(Manoj kalyan),.....dishum dishum....Thirumali hugs Swetha ...END. Very unique story isnt it...thats how typical masala film should be according to Ramana(director). If there is someone who expects something apart from this is a fool according to our director. So could i justify the Rs.25 spent on this film? well....my answer is yes. So the nice things about the film are.... Vijay...he bears the entire film on his shoulders after all its about him-Thirumalai. the songs(music dir. Vidyasagar) r good and catchy. Stunts(Peter hein) r very well choreographed. Special mention should be made for choreography(Lawerence) particularly for the song ’’thamthaka...’’.Then cinematography by Rathanvel is very good expect the songs. The chennai local lingo is very effectively used at certain scenes which obviously leads the audience to clap.I think its only for these aspects one would have come for this film. Now what went wrong...the uneven pace of the film.the first and last 30 min goes at swift pace.

The major drawback is COMEDY, if there is a list of Vivek’s worst comedy this film will top the list.Only God knows y karunas acted in the film. Then every character in the film expect Vijay and Manoj Kalayan were looking sick and had no enthu. The location for the songs expect’’neeya pesiyathu...’’were looking oft repeated ones. vijay mouthing for the songs...for instance the song’’neeya pesiyathu...’’shanker mahadevan cries at high pitch while vijay moves his lips as if he is sipping a milkshake. The romantic portion is very weak. Apart from all these plus and minus the writer should be given kudos for the subtle concept which goes thru out the film that everyone is good person but its only instances which make them bad. If at all there something different told in this film this is the one.The way climax is handled is different(though abrupt) and finally tells this is what i was trying to say all the 150 odd mins. Finally THIRUMALAI is a film for those who want so called masala entertaiment and nothing else to tax their brain.

In a Nutshel one more FLOP to Vijay's Long flop movie list .. Come on Vijay it is a wakeup call for you ,, Better wakeup Else People will soon forget your name .
