The world, particularly Americans who watch Indian movies are fed up with the racist caste program they see in films from India. India is supposed to have a population of dark-skinned people, yet all their movies are filled with light skinned people who resembles Iranians and other Caucasian people from the Mediterranean?
Why are there not Negrid-Australoid (the aboriginal people who speak the Kushic languages with African origins like Tamil, Malayalam, Kinerese, Telegu, ect..) movie inidustry in India to represent the dark-skinned people?
JUST WONDERING

And stop trying to divide up India. You think you can jump around and south indians will just accpet boat loads of skinny negros from Africa. And N. Indians will accept little blond bi*chess. NOT GONNA HAPPEN AND NEVER GONNA HAPPEN.

The word Negro means: Dark Skinned People. One does not have to be from Africa to be Negro. Fairer skinned people (Primarily European) have stigmatized this word, and has fooled people beleive that it is solely connected to Africa-this is not so. Negro's are native to every continent and country. For example:
- The North and South American Indians
- The Aboriginals of Australia
- The Polynesians
- Early Middle Eastern Settlers (Check the
walls of Egypt and the earliest artifacts of
Saudi Arabia and Iraq)
- The Phillipines and China has Negroid Race
- & Yes, early Indians were dark skinned people-
so there were and are negro's there too.
There was a time-beleive it or not-that much, if not all, of this world was full of dark skinned people. This means that many, if not all, on this earth are descendant of a dark skinned people. This being true, to deny them, would be to deny your history and your culture.

It must be the antiquated notion that light=beautiful and dark=not so beautiful. This idea seems to be pervasive, and present in Eastern countries as well as in the west.
OTOH, I may make it a priority to make a movie with a black hero or heroine.

you are right, for a long time the Indian movie industry liked the fair skinned people. it was just a preference. but now both bollywood and tamil movie industry has moved beyond it. madhavan from tamil movies has tanned skin which is the color of most indian skin. and he is dashingly handsome and talented which is why he is a top actor. in the north you will see that many of the new top models and miss indias are tan skinned like normal indians to name a few: swetha vijay, reshmi ghosh, priyanka chopra, tanushree dutta, sayali bhagat are all dusky beauties. soon this color fancy will fade in indian society, in fact, its almost gone!
