Rajini is staying in the same road as Jaya Lalitha. Rajini is one of jaya's hater. What will happen to rajini? Even Karuna Nidhi will not be able to help him.
For next five years, it is going to be interesting to watch both of them in dealing each other and also his movie against her.Or rajini will apologise to Jaya lalitha?
Let's see.

just like he says in one of the movies
"gachacha gachacha".
An actor has to act according to the scene,
so these people will go on "acting".
We fools have to gone on watching.

I think Rajani does not have the guts to stand in the elections, If he really cared for TN and its people, he should have taken some initiative and not let the Fatso come up.
I think he is playing safe, he has got the support, and he could have saved TamilNadu. He has made fame and money, at least now he should be doing what MGR did, in the interest of the people.
He knows that he is clean, but why did he not, is he scared of his future?

She dare not attempt any revengeful methods against Rajnikanth which might ultimately blow up in her face. Rajnikanth has a diehard fan following which could become dangerous for Jaya if he is forced to take to politics out of sheer compulsion.

The reason why he remained silent during the election could be ( in my humble opinion) that he doesn't like anyone ( DMK /AIADMK/TMC/Cho etc...)and may be he will jump into the fray in next election on his own .....
I think he should start a political movement on his own and should not include any body ( high ranking politicians from other political parties) and form a shadow cabinet with esteemed/well educated people ( Specialist from Finance sector/Infrastructure/Medical/Transporation/education and so on..) and formulate policy and start thinking now itself how to develop TN into a prosperous state and create jobs and make the peoples life better in urban and rural place.
I think he is the only charismatic person who can do this ( by the way i am a die hard Kamal fan )He should impres upon on the people how important tax is for the government ,people would just lament that govt is not laying roads/plying buses this and that but they fail to realise that there has to be some source of revenue for the govt to do all this project ...
Provide running water / sanitation / education / infrastructure/ eliminate corruption should be high on his agenda....
Environ/Modernisation also should be in the agenda......
Great leaders are all shapped up by circumstances and we would hope that comes soon to TN and more importantly Rajini takes up the gauntlet

Definately rajini will face few problems by Jaya Lalitha.
Firstly rajini should have think carefully before supporting any politicians. Let's see how he handle this situation. If Jaya lalitha is going to be very nasty to rajini, his fans would request him to jump into politics to control her. Whether rajini will enter politics?

Muthu,
Rajnikanth cannot step into politics on his own. He will still need to take on existing politicians along with himself if he enters politics. He needs people to organise the grassroot level activity which may happen through his fans associations but that is not enough. He will still need seasoned politicians to guide him in the cesspool of politics. Otherwise the entire lot of them will gang up against him and eat him alive. Literally.

Now Mr.Sidamparam is alone and he is one of the talented politician. It will be better if Rajini and Sidamparam form a new party to change the tamil nadu politics. Definately it will better rather combing with useless politician such as Muppannar, Karunnanidhi, Jaya lalitha, etc.

Hi all,
Why bother Rajini? Let him enjoy his cine field. He is basically not a Tamilian. Let a good person from Tamil Nadu take the lead and become the next Chief Minister.

Karunanidhi didn't try or never tried to know what the people are thinking about them.
He must keep third rated caste based parties and their leaders away.
Jaya did every corruption openly so now she got appreciation from people. karunanidhi did every thing undercover people gave him openly (after all
politicians are born to corrrupt society). so people selected best corrupt.

Nothing will happen to Rajini.
This time he never supported any party. He is neutral. I hope Jayalalita will take him into her confidence.

If Jaya starts harassing rajini then it'll help making a launchpad for him to jump into direct politics.I think jaya is not that immature to do so.

This was going to happen one day or the other. FYI, if you check with the film hands you would realize the respect for Rajini has never been there. Because, whenever there is a problem in the industry he would keep away and he has done absolutely nothing for the industry that has made him what he is today. On top of that, he was constantly encouraging film personalities to invest in other business and not to put their money back into the movies.
But nobody would say it out in the press as he was affiliated to the DMK from 1988. So everybody was biding to time to snub him.
End of story.

Yes...during the Film Industry strike, Kamal didnt bother about controversies or getting into trouble with his mentors like KB, Bharathiraja and all directors when he supported
FEPSI and opposed the Padaipaalikal Sangam. KB did not even attend the Marudhanayagam Inaugration function and many directors had vowed not to direct Kamal's films; inspite of all these he stood by his
decision to support FEPSI (the film workers). But Rajini went into hiding (the same tactic he adopts for all issues) and never came out with his views. I dont know what sort of a person would do like this - how could a leader be like this ? Whether right or wrong, a person should let know his views (like Kalaingar or JJ) and only then they would be possessing the leadership qualities; but a lot of people (even literate) are ready to bring Rajini to power. They dont seem to be bothered about his lack of such (and many more) qualities for an able leader.

but a lot of people (even literate) are ready to bring Rajini to power.
So blame the people( even the literate idiots). Why balme Rajini. Did he profess that he is a leader, maybe he did in his movie roles and the people ( even the literate idiots) equate his capability on screen to life. He did not.
Remember, Tendulkar did not want the captaincy , the officials and the fans perhaps but not him.
Rajini wants to remain an actor and not a leader thats his right.
Perhaps he realises his weakness or failing and wants to remain a private man.

You people talk too much unnecessarily about a germ a person like Rajni. With the kind of fame he enjoys others would have made 10 to 15 movies in a year and made more money.Where as Rajni is now not even making 1 movie in 2 Years despite the huge response for his movies and the 100% box office gurantee it would generate worldwide. As far as the pepsi fight rajni did ahve a meeting with all the stars and he left the meeting because they did not come to any sort of conclusion and there was a threat by one of them to self immolate.Since Rajni is not the kind who would want to favour one particular group he kept quiet when his advice was rejected by the actors

They dont seem to be bothered about his lack of such (and many more)
qualities for an able leader.
I did understand and hence I found fault with the people
and not with Rajini. When I was mentioning about his persona of going
into hiding, it was from the viewpoint of analysing if he does possess
atleast some qualities which would are apparently required for a leader
(doesnt mean that all existing politicians and leaders do possess them).
A man with such a persona, I would expect to have kept quiet even during
the 1996 elections; but he didnt. He want to great lenghts saying that even
God cannot save TN if JJ is voted back to power. He repeated the same stand in
1998 Loksabha elections but failed to impress people this time around. So he
went into hybernation from then on this issue. He didnt forget to hit at JJ in
movies (classic Padayappa). His silence now only makes it feel that he had all along
shouting at his roof-top to quench his personal vengeance against her for whatsoever reasons;
if he had been truly worried about TN or its well-being, come what may, he must have openly told his
views and requested the people to keep her out. His silence is more damaging and distressing than when
he voiced out against her. I am just wondering aloud if people are that intelligent to see his change-in-colours
and attitude and not make a mistake in tempting him to dive into politics. I am happy to respect his privacy as long as
he is that way in ALL WAYS, ALWAYS. He shouldnt be a 'chameleon' when he deems fit and mislead people in thinking that
he would be their saviour (we have enough evidence to believe that people of TN can be taken-for-a-ride by the glossy
film stars unlike the people of Kerala or WB).
- From: kooththan (@ sbproxy1.mystarhub.com.sg)
on: Sun Jun 3 21:29:33
That's true. Except when he worked to oust JJ, he never really jumped feet first into politics.
It seems to me like IF Rajni enters politics, it will be because the people around him pressured him into it. Not because he wanted to. He seems a very privacy loving man.
Aside from that, I was annoyed at the way people treated him at that 'thenali' function.
Especially KSR. If not for Rajni letting this dude to direct his movies, KSR would have been a name long forgotten. KSR should remember that before he bites the hand that fed him.
....later

This posting may be slightly off the topic... but still relevant... Excuse me for taking this liberty...
All...
Howmuch ever words and mails we discuss among ourselves, the basic fact of the political parties is not going to change... They will thrive in the way they are as long as we do encourage their caste, religion and region based politics, by voting one or the another back to power in every election....
The parties now a days, do not seem to bother much about the long term interest of the nation or building the infrastructure or building a better economy, giving proper and affortable education to our masses and decent health care...
So many articles and opinions have been written on the above topics and more such topics in the last 30 yrs of our history after independece... (I belive that, for the immediate 20 yrs that followed our independence, we have a had a decent Govt. and people ruling us...).
We allow culprits and criminals to assume the chairs of the highest offices of the land and later debate between ourselves which devil is less evil and which is not...
Guys... let's have break and think for a minute...
How long are we going to allow such dirty politics to rule us...?
Can we the educated and concerned elite of Indians, could think of making some serious changes in the politics of our country?
