It’s nothing new to see comedians getting involved in an on - screen brawl. But this off-screen scuffle between Vadivelu and his one time associate, Nambirajan sure raised quite a few eyebrows.
The incident took place during a break in the shooting of the Prashanth-starrer Ayudhum. According to eyewitnesses, the duo wished each other cordially in the morning. However, after sometime, Nambirajan, a small time villain, entered into Vadivelu’s room and after heated arguments the two tumbled out thrashing each other.
The unitwallahs intervened and Nambirajan left the room swearing at Vadivelu. Later, he lodged a complaint at the police station and claimed that Vadivelu had used some of his comedy tracks in his movies without paying proper credit or money to him. According to him, he was supposed to get Rs. 25,000 for each comedy track penned by him and used in a Vadivelu film, but after a while, the comedian started cornering the money for himself.
Talking about the incident, Vadivelu said Nambirajan was jealous of him because of his phenomenal success, whereas his career was stagnating. Though they started their careers together, only he could make it big and this possibly could be the reason why Namibarajan attacked him.
