Kamal surely a legend!!!!!!!!!!! No Doubt..
Started his career as a hero in 1973... Acted as child artist even before that ..After acting in few Tamil movies started to concentrate in mal movies from 1974 to 1978.. (Mostly Black and White) was an asistant dance director in early movies became a solo hero in Sethumadhavan's "Kanyakumari" (1974) His super hits were "Raasaleela", Madhanolsavam, Ponni,EEtta etc in Malayalam, By the end of 1977 he was a popular name and heart throb of girls in Kerala colleges . At this stage also he was the favourite star of K. Balachander and was acting Tamil films.. Then came his first big break in Tamil "16 vayathinile" (around 1977) started to focus more on Tamil From 77 to 80, Notable films were "sigappu rojakkal", "Guru", "Ninaithale inikkum etc Slowly he entered Telugu film industry in the eighties .. In 1981 his first Hindi film became one of the all time hits in Indian film industry, "Ek Duje ke liye"... Then came "Sakalakala vallabhan " in 1982.. and Kamal turned out to be a super star.. Sagaara Sangamam and Swathi Muthyam came in Telugu those two can be considered as great movies in Telugu... Kamal's entertainers continued in mid eighties Mainly in Tamil, There were Action movies like Kakki chattai and Romantic movies like Vazhve maayam all were super duper hits.. and at this point of time came "Moondram Pirai " , a mind blowing performance which gave him the first Bharath award.. With Continuing in Tamil masala movies like Kaithiyin Dairy, Vikram, Girafathar, Sanam teri kasam in Hindi and Vrutham (Malayalam) then came the time for " NAYAGAN".., THE EPIC MOVIE.. This one brought him lot of acclodes from all over... It changed the phase of Tamil film Industry, Kamal hassan was living as Velu... It showed all the life stage of man from youth to death... Action movies like Sathya, Vetri vizha, Aboorva sa gothararkal (He acted as a dwarf) followed... His last Mal movie "Chanakyan" (1989) was a mega hit in Kerala and T. N. and had some excellant performance from him.... He continued to amaze audience with "Michael, MAdana... " (Situational comedy)...
From "Thevar Magan" (1992) another stage in his career started.. he began to concentrate more on his make up and physique.. This legend gave us Action movies like Kuruthipunal, Indian , hilarious comedies like Avvai Shanmughi, kathala.. kathala and Sathi leelavathi in the 90's... Classic like Hey Ram.. He continued his passion to entertain us in the New millenium.. With Tenali (2000) Anbe Sivam (2003) and Virumaandi (2004).... What else can a actor give to film world??? He has acted in movies of all genre like Romantic, Comedy, Action, Family (Mahanadhi), Classsics, Science fiction ( Vikram)...
As film lovers let us hope his dream project "Maruthanayakam " would happen soon.. He had one of the most good looking face Indian film world had ever seen, He had a greek god look in the 80's... He controls his body even now.. learns more about movies.. He has succeeded all aspects in films apart from acting like singing, Dancing, Direction, Production, Screen play, story.. above all only actor who gave Super hits in four Indian Languages as a hero (Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam)..
