Kamal's new film

It was a casting coup of sorts, director Priyadarshan has managed to rope in Kamalhassan and Madhavan to do Lakshmi Movie Makers new film Anbe Sivam. Priyan and Kamal wanted Aishwarya Rai to play the female lead but due to ‘date problem’, the search is on for a new heroine. Incidentally Ash is doing Priyan’s Salman Khan starrer for Tips.

Anbe Sivam is a travelogue of two people who meet somewhere upcountry and travel together down South. Kamalhassan will be sporting a new look for the film and with Priyan at the helm, it promises to be a laugh riot. Vidyasagar is the music director and he is providing some peppy numbers. For art director Sabu Cyril the film is going to be a big challenge as it is a travelogue. According to Kamal, who has written the story with dialogues by Crazy Mohan “It is absolutely novel idea of making a travelogue which has plenty of humour plus a sentimental twist”.

Three cheers to the new combination of Kamalhassan, the actor who loves to do something different and Priyadarshan, one of the techno-savvy directors in India.
