Ajit’s Diwali release Anjaneya has bombed all over Tamilnadu creating panic among distributors and exhibitors, who had purchased the film at exorbitant Minimum Guarantee (MG).
The film touted as the favourite horse among the Diwali releases, after a good opening started falling. The trade had pinned a lot of hope, as it was the star’s first release this year.
Anjaneya’s failure is a setback for Ajit, who has now to prove his mettle once again. Mani Sharma’s music was below average and Meera Jasmine was totally wasted. The film had no logic and was poorly marketed.
Meanwhile the buzz is that ‘NIC Arts’ the producers are planning to start the Linguswamy directed G to revive Ajit’s market.
