Hi,
I wish to introduce myself as Revathy,film actress,from Chennai, INDIA.
I have acted in over a 125 films in Tamil,Telugu,Malayalam and my Hindi films include Love, Anjali, Muskurahat and Raat.
I have just directed a film Mitr-My Friend .
When I decided to direct a film,I wanted to make a film that talks about feelings,emotions and happenings in a real family....
All the Indians working abroad have left loved ones back home in India and gone to make a new life.... I decided that this would be my base for the story.
The story is of an Indian family in the US and the relationships and emotions between the husband-wife, the mother-daughter and the father-daughter.
A story we feel will be identifiable not only with the Indian families, but with Pakistani, Bangladeshi and Srilankan communities, specially the women.

The film is scheduled for release on the 15th of February,2002.
This kind of film needs all the support it can get, as the success of films like this will pave the way for more of its kind. Please ask your friends to visit the site and see the film when released.
THIS FILM WAS SHOT IN THE USA and has an all women technical crew.

  Yes I am planning to direct more films and am working on my next script.
  To answer a few questions.... the original film is in English.
  There are no DVDs or VCDs released.... if you find any they are pirated :)
  DVDs are released only in the US.
  We have not got any distributors to release the film in S'pore and Malaysia yet.... any interested parties???? :)

  They telecast MITR just recently in Singapore.
  
  Really, this is one of the BEST MOVIE i've ever seen.
  
  If i want to act, i would love to act in a film with this kind of ingenious writings.
  
  not just another focus on LOVE! which i think we all know, holds as the basic storyline of any indian films...mostly..!
  
  after seeing this, i really begin to think , how will i react to , IF i had a daughter and i was in that situation.
  
  life is so...that one has to live it to know how it is.
  
  but films like this... well its like a helping hand...

  hope Revathy would make an effort to release "FRIENDS" on DVD with ENGLISH subtitles in the NORTH AMERICAN MARKET...as soon as possible..when it releases on SUN TV on April 14!!!
  
  Such heart-moving-stories that too...cast by Revathy&Suhasini who established so well in south indian movies would be greatly appreciated.
