This Kamal has showed his true colour again. He is against Rajini for settling the loss made by the theater owners.
Look at Kamal's low class attitude. Look at Rajini's high class attitude!

If Kamal argue from business ethic point of view then he is correct. Because profit and loss is part of any business. However, distributors finance his movies(even before first copy) based on good will and with an expectation of making profits, so if he signels that he's not responsible of his movie result then he may loose his credibility. It will impact his career in short term, because distributors may choose to buy his movie based on first copy feedback like what they generaly do for other actors.
If Kamal restricted with a budget and added post production responsibilities, it will affect his creativity then we may not able to get a good mega movies from him. It even apply for Shanker and ManiRatnam.
//Can you Prove"?//
Yes I ask for proof when other argue based on own imagination. I am keen to know the list of Rajini's investments in Karnataka, which is one of the hot topic about him. Do you know?

Absolutely true.. Here I feel mega movies woth differnet new themes ? Like Hey Ram.
Rajani's move is very good if he returns money ( For loss ) Is it possible in future ? For how many people ? I am afraid it will not be practical
even for crative actor Kamal.
Owners of theatres must not make such mistake when they purchase films from distributors. They should also have guilty for this.

Nothing great in giving back the unjustified money rajni got. He tried to 'undo' his earlier evil behaviour. But he has got good publicity.
Two thiefs (A & B)stoled some money. One thief A ,ran away with 90% of the share. After sometime, due to many business(!!) reasons, thief A returned back 30% of the remaining amount to B. The tragedy is the guy who has lost his money to these thiefs is appreciating that the A is a g8 guy to share his money with the other thief.
Poor guy.. you and me will get the money back.. It's the question of whom to you and me are losing?

These Theatre owners bought the Baba rights thinking that they make a gr8 profit by increasing the ticket rates. They wanted to make quick money and they agreed to buy the movie by paying huge MG. This inturn was a burden to the cine goers as they were paying Rs 100 and Rs 200 to see the movie. I think Rajini should not have paid back the money so that these theatre owners can be taught a lesson so that next time they wont buy movies at these high rates and also increase the admission rates.

There are lot of people who return money when their movies fail at box office. But everyday do it behind the screens.
1. Chinnapa Devar (Devar Films) use to return the money.
2. Director ManiRatnam: He returns the money because his movies are experimental movies and he bears the loss
3. Kamal in Hey Ram : He returned money because he is responsible for the experiementation of the movie.
4. There are lots and lots of incident like this but everything is done behind the screens without publicity.
I appreciate Rajini, returning money. But if BABA
is taken at a expenditure of Rs 30 crores, will Rajini would have returned the money. Surely No. He would have told he will adjust with the Next movie

Hi Saravanan,
In any case, the money you spent for these crap movies will not be returned you. I know we people don't expect that money.,
That all are some business activities. Don't apprecaite these things too much. For their business tactics, they get so much of free advertisment in return, even chief ministership...

Hi LLD
One question, if any other non-actor business man did similar gesture to his business community, how do you rate him?
If you give that person a good rating, as you preach that actors are just as other normal people why you see one is a propoganda and other is good gesture?

First of all, no other business you can sell for 100 crore where your production cost is 1 crore.
If your product is not worth for 100 crore, if itz buggy, then sure you would be sued. Even if you take responsible for your bad product and give back the money to your vendors you will be termed as 'evil guy trying to undo his previous evil behaviour'. thats it. You wont never get appreciation from each and every corner. For that you have to be a 'Cinema Star'.

// First of all, no other business you can sell for 100 crore where your production cost is 1 crore//
Impulsive answer. Most of the intellectual properties and branded goods are selling in this propotion only.
If one try sell his product for 100 crore and no one buys it then it's evil. If your product bought for 100 crore then it's normal. Please try to see the difference.

Guess, Rajini's another controversial decision. Although his thinking from highlevel make sense that it will not do any good but my opinion that some time he need to stay inline with others to show unity and support, atleast to show his sincerity.
Another hot topic in the coming days for all to chew. Let see how it goes and how many actors to come out with an execuse.
