Jinxed!

It has been a trend lately for heroines to be branded as jinxes once two consequent movies of theirs fail box-office.

And the actresses who would fall under this category would be Isha Gopikar, Riccha Balot and many more. As a result of this branding, the girls' careers are affected.

In my eyes, the filworld is just biased! Why are the actresses the only ones who are branded as jinx?? What about the actors?

Let's take instances like Sarathkumar and Vijaykanth. Sarathkumar's 1st fling was Heera. Her career came crashing after being involved with him and now she is working as a mere clerk elsewhere. Then came along Nagma whose career also suffered and she was chased to Mumbai by him. And now he has settled for Radhika, and she happens to be the only one standing, though she has occasional problems like someone breaking her house windows and etc.

Then, we have our dear "Lion of the South", Vijaykanth. A classic jinx of all times! First he took the position of Sanga Thalaivar and tamil filmworld started to lose to TV industry and is almost on the verge of going bust. Then, he did movies like Simmaasanam, which was Viji's last film.

Then came the most bragged about Narasimma. It was the first and last movie of the young aspiring director. He died in an accident even before the completion of the film. The blame of being 'jinxed' conveniently went to the heroine, Isha Gopikar.

And lastly, Prathiyuksha starred with Vijaykanth in Thavasi and she too died tragically.

So now, who is the real jinx? Why is it always the heroines who take the blame? Is it because they don't come forth to fight it out?
