Guys,

I am not wanting to fight - but it is irritating to hear so many people praising old films only and saying new films are dirty. Thats what they call intelligence.

Music. I agree old music is good, but tell me, is ARR too much less to MSV or KVM ? He is less ok - but not too much right ?

Actors. Sivaji was the only real actor. Others simply sang songs. I agree that people like Gemini acted in some good films but they were not great actors. I think today;s set of actors are better overall though there is no one to match Sivaji.

Actresses. I say Simran is one of the best ever but my cousin keeps saying that she only keeps exposing. But thats not only new films. I just saw an old MGR film called "Rickshaakaran" starring Manjula and Padmini. God ! Simran is 100 times better. I though people like Padmini were at least decent not-exposing actress. But even she in the film exposes - you know the scene I think,

Singers. There is a new generation coming in. But I confess - I love PBS. King of singers !!

Directors - Is anyone better than Maniratnam ? People talk of Sridhar - but I dont think he is anywhere near Mani. What high-quality films Mani makes !! We are lucky to have him as Indian.

Sorry for the long post - but I was so irritated by my cousin repeating Old is Gold.. What do you think ?
