Did anyone watch Julie Ganapathy?

I loved that movie so much.. It's a diff movie..Julie Ganapathy is a fat woman "saves" her fav writer from a car accident. Saves?!?!?!? that's what you think
This woman is crazy abt the writer and his serial.. She knows each and everything abt him. She basically kidnaps him and keep him in her house. She has really bad mood swings..At one point she tells the writer how he pushed her husband 2000 feet down the hill This woman is crazy!!! One minute she threatens and abuses the writer but next min she becomes caring and gentle, saying "sorry daa chellam". And when the writer tried to escape from her (note both his legs are broken) she smashes both his legs with hammer...

  If you loved it so much, watch the original movie Misery and the perfect acting by Kathy Bates as the psycho fan. She won Best Actress Oscar for her role.

  It is a different film..yeah for tamil movies..
  But this is a re-make of hollywood film adaptation of one of stephen king's novel..That is if the tamil film makers gave credits to the stephen king..
  If not..Then this is another case of kamal hassan syndrome. Steal an idea from a hollywood film and make a movie and claim it was their own idea.
  
  I want to know from whoever saw the Julie Ganabathy, if the film credited Stephen King for the story..or did the film maker credited the story to himself?

  What is wrong with movies based on hollywood stories ? I could not find any claims from artist from Tamilnadu ( Kamal , mairatnm , balumahendra ) that those movies r original.
  
  Rather than watching masalas ( u have to remeber trese masala have more or less same story) , these movies r better.
  
  So stop posting like "copy from hollywood" , "universal copy maker "
  
  this kind of silly posting because of..
  1. Those who hate Kamal, Maniratnam, Balumahendra
  2. Those who want to show that they know much about tamil cinema and hollywood.

  Huh...I love maniratnam...He makes original or gives credits to where his inspiration came from. He is not afraid to say Kannathil was inspired from a Times magazine article and so forth ..Or he is attempting to turin a British novel to a sceenplay for his next film.
  
  I have no problem with remaking or inspriration from Hollywood films or western novels..
  
  BUT ..I do have a problem with tamil film makers who remake or gets inspiration from hollywood films but do not credit it..Some go as far to claim it is their own idea during interviews.
  
  When Hollywood remakes non-hollywood films, they give credit where it is due..For example, last summer hollywood blockbuster 'The Ring' is a remake of a Japanese hit movie 'Ringhu'. The hollywood filmakers both the rights to the japanese films and gave credits to the Japanese.
  
  Also George Lucas openly admited that the two droid characters C-3pO and R2-D2 were based on two characters from the Aria Kurowoso's Japanese film 'The Hidden Fortress'..
  
  Rajiv Menon who did KanduKondain said his story was based on Jane Austin Novel..That is good. I respect him for that.
  
  But when tamil film makers claim that they never saw or heard of a hollywood film that they blantanly copied from...i have respect for them..
  They should have more dignity, itegrity and class..

  I agree with you Iamgod ,though Mani gets his inspiration from hollywood (sometimes) ,he accepts it himself,even before somebody asks abt it,but many guys around here blatantly copy hollywood films and shamelessly give interviews abt their own idea(???).
  By the way Balu Mahendra ,a much better director has did this years ago,his film 'MOODU PANI' starring Pratappothan and Shobha is a blatant lift from Alfred Hitchcock's 'PSYCHO',I want to know whether balu accepted it at that time, or he behaved in the sameway as kamal does now.pls anybody clarify it.

  J.Ganapathy – put this film on top of your ‘must-see’ film list.
  
  Only a handful of good and respected Tamil films are being brought to us nowadays….so I don’t mind having those films ‘robbed/taken/dubbed or whatsover’ from other languages…..as long as the films got some sensed themes, all should be welcomed.
