Last Saturday, i saw Rajini's Aarulirunthu Arupathuvarai in Singapore TV. I saw this movie in my home town (Mayuram) theater when i was ten years old. That time definately i would not have enjoyed this movie as my expectation for Rajini movies are different.

Although i had positive comment about this movie but i didn't have chance to watch this movie last Saturday.

I am very delighted to see Rajini in a wonderful charecter with his best performance. Rajini did brother charecter without any over acting and it is simply superb. I watched this movie with my whole family and i am glad to say that no one left the TV until end of the movie. All appreciated Rajini's acting and most of them asked the same question : Why is Rajini not acting this type of movies now a days?

  Sure.. It was good acting by Rajini and not only this, in no. of other older films like Thillu Mullu(untill now its my favorite), Mullum Malarum ,Netrikan Rajini's acting was too good. But why is he not acting nowadays.. I would blame on the Fans who unnecesary seen him not like a cine hero but more than that. I can't say he doesn't have other choice but he also believed that he is some one morethan mere actor and started and lost his acting talents otherwise he doesn't too much worry about his acting talents but he himself and his producers & directors believed that just showing his face is enough for his fans. But it was failed hugely for the first time in Baba and thats why he faced lot of critisism.

  any way, Rajni's acting was so real & too good, there were other films like
  
  1) Bhuvana oru ?
  2) naan adimai illai

  I agree with u regarding engeyo ketta kural, and others.
  
  but his best is
  
  AARILIRUNDU ARUVADU VARAI. Absolutely no over acting. He has blended with the character.
  
  I seriously feel, we have lost a wonderful actor because he was wanted more in action-hero roles or in role-model roles. Esp after his interst in politics..his films became really filmi or masala type.
  
  very sad. His ability as an actor is not fully utilised. Its my humble opinion.

  Yes, I have seen Sri Ragavendra, very good acting by Rajnikanth, he should have been utilised more in his early years!

  Yes Milton. I saw 'Thillu Mullu' and Netrikan one or two years back. I really enjoyed the films and wondered why he is not acting such a films nowadays as Sha wondered.Thillu mullu is really superb.. New dimension of dual act. Great thinking by KB and also very good performance by Rajini. The performance of the Old lady( usually she takes serious roles) and Thenkai were great.

  Yes that's right, I post from work, in London, the reason for the new IP address is, our Domain Name Server (DNS) crashed, this holds all the IP, DHCP addresses,so we had to install a new DNS server, which is y, the new IP address (@ 217.158.120.226)
  
  But now, another problem, there is another Ragu (Note the spelling) around, so pls specify the IP address, when posting or reading any posts.

  i know this is a posting regarding rajini. but someone mentioned about oldlady in thillumullu. oh dear.. how can tamil films' fans (esp. of KB's films) forget sowkar.. sowkar janaki. though, she had done all glycerine warranting roles, all her comedy performances were excellent.. thillumullu, baama vijayam, ethir neechal. i and my friend used appreciate her acting like anything esp. in comedy roles.

  I wish Rajini, just for old times sake, take on a role like the ones he used to do in Mulum Malarum, Sri Raghavendra, 6 To 60, Thillu Mullu, Netrikkan, 16 Vayathinile. His last best performance was in Thalapathi, under the guidance of Maniratnam.
  He need to do a movie to re-establish himself as a trained actor, an artist. Forget te money and the popularity polls.

  I know Sowkar Janaki very well.. I think she is one of the best actress even though she is not great looking.. When I was writing the post, I could not remeber her name.. But the character she took in Thillu Mullu was different and her performance also very good..

  Have u seen Rajni's "Gayathiri", again good movie Good performance, I tend 2 enjoy Rajni's super dooper comedy, like "Guru Shishyan", "Dharmathin Thalaivan", "Uzhaipazhi", but till date, I have not seen Thillu mullu, cos, it is not available any where in London, can u believe it. :)
