just now i returned from the 'Kadhal konden'.. disappointed much. its a mixture.. Did you see our vivek's joke in one of the recently released movies.. he will prepare a story, by mixing the story of nattamai and that of vanathaipola. thats not a joke. this film director has tried viveks idea.

the director would have thought,
(i) its a college movie (first half is college based)
(ii) telling a story, which is so called 'good' (a phycho based story)
(iii) a commercial money making movie (Yuvan music, mumbai heroine)

The director might have been attracted with the movies like Guna, Nandha, Sethu. so he had 'just copied' the idea and made a movie, which irritated me much. the story is obviously artificial. If you had already seen the above listed two movies, i will *not* recommend this movie.

Yuvan's music is unique and the heroine is fairly good.

But still i condemn the style of the directors. who knows, they can shoot a movie which says, a classmates can do anything and everything. yes, as for as their cashbox is considered, they are right. but what about our genuinity??? I strongly condemn such movies.

  I wonder how this movie is doing so well in TN.It is neither a classic nor a masala.Even it is a mixture of 3 or 4 old movies,which are mostly failed in box office.Really I have no clue for the success of this movie.

  Here is the Clue.
  
  Always there are some hidden truths.In Hindhi, So many whiteish Khans, shah rukh, salma, and amir ect, alll were muslims
  at this time a change came, hrithick roshan entered, no one well remembers his 1st film but it was a BIG BIG HIT.
  Like wise, full of whiteish or some alike colored heros, like shaam maddy, ajith, and vikram. Danush face itself is
  a bit different in current trend.

  Apart, the background score, littlebit diff camera angles, diff approach, all clicked.
  The first half is totally different, Where do we see such a inferior hero entering in college, tell
  atleast one tamil film.The second half is a mix of guna and aalavandhaan but no one could gess the result.

  The same thing goes for jeyam.It has nothing new except that TRAIN. But its very long time since
  a film of this kind came.Do we see any film like 'Alaigal Oivathillai" now?
  
  All films has either politics, (BABA/ANBESIVAM)or do resarch on what is love and BOY-GIRL friendship,(punnagai pove/priyamana thozi)
  and some films with unimaginable irritating heroism ( all vijay films). So JEYAM and KK are
  just some old wines served in new cups.And its long time since these kind of movies came.Thats it.
  
  After one or 2 months either BOYS or PITHAMAGAN or SANDIYAR will replace and washout the KK effect.DAnush have to be different in his next film.I Hope thirudaa thirudi could be a suPer flop

  the recent hits like dhool, samy, and KK were not that much liked by thaaikulangal.especially KK.
  Also KK is a major hit only in metros. In B and C centres its not doing very well, its juz a normal hit thasall. And its collection didnt cross the sami or padayappa, its well well below them.
  
  In TN, no of ladies going to theatre has reduced considerably, (bcos, they are grabbed by tv serials[waterfall cry] and VCD's) thats why NONVEG movies like dhool sami, KK get a hit.You cant see these movies with family.

  huh..interesting..You think this KK is better screen play than Guna?oh God!in this KK is only different thing is potrayal of inferiority complex of the hero as a student .Nothing more interesting..especially the secons half is very irritating.

  He has just described it as interesting screenplay,means interesting for masses,that's why the film is a huge hit here(TN).
  BTW I never considered 'Guna' as a good film,just because kamal was there the film can't be regarded as a good one,in my point of view ,it was a well-thought out,but very badly executed product.

  I think we are talking too much about Dhanush's performance,it will take some more time to judge him,(BTW his latest 'Thiruda thirudi' trailers shows how bad the film will be)why don't we praise the Dir. who has extracted such a performance from him which has no theatrics in it?even the girl acted as Divya(Dunno her name)has done her job well and so is the rest of the cast.May be this is the fate of Tamil industry,if an actor gives a good performance,ppl praise him as great and all that crap(Some body declared Dhanush as Black Kamal),and if somebody gives a string of hits,he will become the matinee idols of so many,streets will be filled with 'Rasigar mandrams' and the actors themselves dreaming to hoist flag in secretariat.

  there is nothing revolutionary in this story.Then what makes this movie run full of packed house?Camera ,music cannot cotribute for whole success.Then its only screenplay.One cannot tell danush acting also.Bcos, there are lot of kamal film with excellent acting which flopped.
  
  Guna can be Holistic,But people want entertainment, which is not found in Guna.
  
  Also pulambals like "people's taste is becoming bad" is not correct, its just a cycle.

  The reason i say like this is:-
  
  1.In KK, the girl agrees to come and stay in forest with dhanu, only for the reason that she should meet her lover.
  
  2.But in Guna, kamal lifts the girl from her family and places in a cave!!!, and also the girl gets convinced with all this and also she like Guna. Is this an intresting screenplay?????
  
  At this point, KK is more practical than Guna.
  Makers of Guna and its 'Admirers' can feel and get an Alpa santhosham that their copied story runs well.

  I feel that tamil films though dey r needless to resemble reality,yet its not practical for all e viewers to accept extroadinary 'stuff',which r uncommonly practiced in e real areas.Therefore i agree with Kulasekaran and also emphasize that OUR tamil movies do need OUR GENUITY....hope that Tamil films will transform to a better acceptance by Tamil viewers!

  IN KK what i really apeciate is.. The way directer touched that Child Abuse subject. He got guts.
  
  Of course, its a rendum kettan. Not a classic, not a masala. BUT Camera is good, Story is good, and Acting from Danush is excellent in THIS movie. Songs r very good.
  
  What does matter is, this movie KK is better than the usual MASALAs we get.
