Jay jay's audiocassette was released in the morning on Gandhi Jayanthi's day, a press meet for the audio release was held in the evening, and saw the film's director speaking in a sage's tone while addressing the media. He also added to say Madhavan is busy attending a cultural program in Singapore hence is absent for this event.

After the completion of the Tamil film Amarkalam I was supposed to signup my second film with Oscar film's but my quest for a suitable story line compelled me to avoid my accepting of advances which would have been a moral hindrance.

During the making of the film the only condition from Mr.Ravichandran was:

"Whatever you want to be done better do it. Don't hesitate to ask for the money. But you have to toil hard till I feel happy with the film for its songs and storyline. First you have to satisfy me with your works' if neither me nor you feel unhappy with the songs or the making of the film in spite of 90% of its work being completed - never mind scrap the earlier one redo the work for I want the public to say Oscar Productions have given a best performing movie". But fortunately he didn't object for any of the films works and felt happy with Baradawaj's music and the handling of the movie.

Pooja and Amoha are the 2 heroines for this film. Speaking in Tamil is like speaking Greek and Latin for actress Amoha. But it is somewhat better for actress Pooja managing with passive Tamil speaking.

As told in my earlier interviews to the media, I found her while visiting a restaurant in new Delhi. Her look struck me at once, to ask her whether she will be interested to act in films? She replied a yes but, only in Hindi films and my convincers in explaining how Tamil industry has been a gateway to the likes of Aishwarya rai and others. Now she has been signed up for a film by Ramgopal varma. The other important aspect of Amoha is that she has been very interested to act in films from the age of 6 when some one told her as a joke, that you got to have a separate line in your palm to gain entry in films she cut a line with a knife in her palm assuming that it will fetch her the chances. Such was her eagerness to act in films, which made me to grab her for my films.

Pooja is different looking girl while photographed and when looked at her in real. She was planning to get married and settle in life and was called up by director Kadhir for his film 'Ullam Kollai Pogudahae' (earlier titled as Pepsi) but Jay jay makes it to be her first film as heroine.

I have been asked many times, why is it always Bharadwaj's music in my films? And why not to work with lyricists from the younger generation? Has bharadwaj ever given a bad tune in any of my 5 earlier films? Then why should I replace him? Vairamuthu is a perennial pond for lyric writing, I take what and how much ever possible from him. There is also the other reason for my working with Vaiaramuthu, when I was an assistant of K.Balachander and as a person without self confidence it was Vairamuthu who recommended my names to producers and fetched me film directing offers. I owe him a lot in life.

When Oscar films Ravichandran pointed out the places in a global map while holding it in hand and mentioned "these are the ones where songs had been shot already in the past go to the places which has not been visited earlier" - this made the film to be shot at Athens and Greece. I am overwhelmed with the comments for my doing so.

It was thanks all the way in Amoha's speech. Pooja mentioned her preference to act in Tamil songs rather in films because its Tamil songs blaring all over Bangalore and her listening of too much Tamil songs.
