What do Tamil directors think of Indians overseas?

I'm aware of how M'sian fans are unhappy about the serial Annamalai, condemning their country.

But this is not the first time, tamil directors have insulted overseas indians. Apparently, they seem to have an opinion that indians or others living overseas lack moral values. And dialogues in many films are proof to this.

For instance, a Vijay film, "Endrendrum Kadhal" that was taken in Switzerland, he condemns the Western culture when N.Ravi insults India and its poverty. Yes, it's not right to condemn any country but I'm sure Vijay's character could have handled it more tactfully than to condemn another country. What difference does it make between the two?

And also in Iyarkai, there is a scene where Shyam says,"Naan engegeyo poyirukkuran oru rupakku varupava ellaam irukkaalge. Aana nam naatu ponnunga appadi illa. Kadaisi vare kadhalichevane ninaichikittu iruppa." (Though the dialogue is not in exact words, the meaning is there.)

And even in Padaiyappa, when R.Krishnan boldly kisses Rajini in a crowd, Lakshimi appeases Sivaji by saying, "America-le padicha ponnule, athaan appadi iruppa....."

What's with this stereotype? What makes them think that someone across the sea will have less morals than them? Is this ignorance or arrogance?
