Why rajni produced the alltime crappest movie baba? I reckon he knew that there r his foolish fans in India to make any crap he does to be a big hit like his earlier three or 4 craps(Padayappa, Arunachalam, muthu).
I heard that Rajni is acting as an old beggar in his next film Kilava(not bhaiya or ayya). Probably this is the first time Rajni is going to do a role without any makeup.
And he's going to create a history whereas Kamal for "Indian" brought ppl from all over the world to do makeup for him to look like an oldman. Rajni the gr8 actor is going to do this without any makeup. That's Rajni be proud u foolish Rajni fans

What is the problem with u ppl? Why r u guys after Vijay? Is that bcos u couldn't digest his massive growth?
How can u except MGR & Sivaji to be in top in that poll? For ex I'm just 20 and i have hardly seen any MGR films(just only one "Anbe Vaa"). And i also have seen only about less than 10 Sivaji films. And thats the case with many youngsters, and in those polls young ppl count more amount not people over 60 or 70. So they will not vote for MGR & Sivaji. But thats indeed gr8 to see that MGR & Sivaji r in 3rd and 4th even at this time. So u must be proud for that.
And don't just blame Vijay on his acting. He did really well in his earlier movies like "Kadhalukku Mariyathey" , "Priyamudan", "Thullatha Manamum Thullum", "Kushi",... Thats why he has got such a massive fanfollowing.
Of course he did a mistake by started to imitate Rajni from "Bhagavathy"(He didn't imitate Rajni till "Youth"). Thats why his movies also didn't do very well after that unlike his earlier movies.
U can't expect everyone to be perfect. Everyone does mistakes Rajni, Kamal... Vijay will realise his fault and will do better in his future movies.
And why r u ppl comparing him with the gr8s like Kamal and Sivaji in acting. Does everyone has to be gr8 actors like them. Why can't one be a mass entertainer like Rajni(Rajni didn't much bother about acting like Kamal, but he wanted to entertain his fans and ppl).
We watch cinema as a media for entertainment so there's nothing wrong in an actor trying to be a mass entertainer. And there's nothing wrong in actors like Kamal.. doing experimental ones and it shows kamal's gr8ness.
Of course u can compare Vijay with his competitors like Vikram and Ajith. But think how long it took for Vikram to get a recognition and to prove his worthness (nearly 12 years, added to that Vikram in those 12 years acted with some so called gr8 directors like Sridhar, Vikraman,P.C. Sriram.. but still he wasn't recognised).
Vijay is now stepping into his 11 th year in cine field. So there's lot more to come
Vikram now has certainly proved his acting talents. Vijay will also prove his potential in near future probably with his next movie Gilli.Vijay is trying to follow Rajni's way but I accept that he must not imitate Rajni as he did earlier b4 Bhagavathy.
And one can't deny that Kamal is more talented than anyone(than Rajni too). The poll isn't who is the most talented actor? but who is ur favourite actor. So it is a known fact that kamal will not be the first.
U can understand that from the flops like Anbe Sivam, Alavandhaan..
Whereas Vijay's crap movie like Bagavathy(The most i hate in Vijay's movies after 1998) did very well, indeed a hit.
And Rajni's so called worse movie like Baba did extremely well even better than Padayappa.
I am also worried to know that Kamal is 7 th in the poll. But thats the case in many places in India. I am not an Indian but i guess so from these news and from movie results.
But in foriegn countries thats not the case, Kamal for sure will not be so low. And in foriegn countries too Vijay will be probably next to Kamal and Rajni bcos he got so much fanfollowing from his earlier movies like "Kadhalukku Mariyathey", "Priyamudan",......which contains some classic movies(Kadhalukku Mariyathey) and entertainers.
And don't underestimate any actors. And don't compare Vijay with gr8s like Kamal, Rajni..who has acted in more than 200 and 150 films respectively and in the cine field for more than 25 years. Vijay has acted in just 37 films and he will do certainly better in his future movies.

if a non-acting wonder like vijay has such rabid fans, gosh! tamil cinema is staring at armageddon!
coming back to the poll, it off-the-mark in many respects. here is my humble assessment of the scene. in terms of popularity, kamal comes second after rajni, though he'll be a very very distant second. vikram should come in as a close third. i don't see any competition to these three in the close vicinity.
vijayakant is still king in villages and even his crappiest movies make money there. vijay, an actor almost as bad as vijayakant, can boast of a sound fan base in the B and C centres, apart from the lower class teenagers in cities. same goes with ajit, but i guess he should be more popular than vijay in the cities. surya and madhavan are more popular among the classes, especially among city-bred girls. the dark horse could be dhanush, but i guess we should give more time for him before catapulting him to the heights of an aspiring superstar. and the unsung hero would be arjun, whose movies aren't blockbusters but continue to make decent dough at the B-O. further, he's one of the few who have survived, ala vikram.
so in a nutshell, vikram is perhaps the only potential star after rajni, who can be equally popular with the classes and masses. kamal may not be having many sycophants and blind fans as his supporters. his movies may not be making big money. but if you look past the "fan culture", he's still very very popular among people who can differentiate between the good and the bad.
my list:
1. rajnikant
2. kamal haasan
3. vikram
4. vijayakant
5. ajit
6. vijay
7. dhanush
8. surya
9. madhavan
10. arjun

I forgot to tell u one more thing. Don't think that being a Kamal or Rajni or MGR or Sivaji fan makes u gr8 and u have to be proud for that. There's nothing to be proud of being A Kamal,Rajni... fan, and there's nothing to look weird at Vijay, Ajith, Vikram, Simbu.... or any other heros fans. If u think so, like being proud to be a Kamal or.... fans then nothing to comment on u except to appreciate ur knowledge and intelligence. And if u r one of those ppl then u r in LLDasu's targeted group. LLDASU pls note this.
And even simbu fans can be or are gr8 people than Rajni or Kamal fans. Everyone admire something in those celebrities and feel them as their favourite.
Kamal or Rajni or anyother actors has to be proud of u being their fan. that is Rajni has to be proud by saying "ya he's my fan".U have to be like that. U can never be proud of being a Rajni fan and there's nothing to be proud in being a fan of any actors.
I am saying this bcos i felt that some ppl who argued with me feel like that. U can be a gr8 person only by living a gr8 life and by gr8 achievements only. I know this bcos i'm one of those.

Good to here from a just 20year old kid. What are your gr8 achievements being here promoting Vijay and having deepest faith on his success in future. The time took writing these materials could have been better spent for gr8 achievers like you, Right? Sorry to be rude but since you are advising fans I had to ask this questions.

and Mr.Pratap,

The problem here is u can't make a fool an intelligent by giving some advices. Thats what i'm feeling.
//since my all time favourite is sivaji,I must be in the age of 80 //
Did i ever say like that. Why r u ppl being so foolish. I just said since i'm 20 when i started to watch movies(with an interest) Sivaji has almost stopped his acting career. So i didn't have a chance to see his movies with such an interest. Thats what the case with many youngsters(I meant ppl with less than 20 years as youngsters).
I didn't say Sivaji fans and MGR fans HAVE to be over 60 or 70.
I meant that if this poll would have taken mostly on ppl over those age(60 or 70) then Surely MGR and Sivaji would have topped the lists.
But these polls r mostly aimed on young ppl and middle aged ppl. So quite a large percentage of middle aged ppl like Joe and..... would have voted to MGR and Sivaji. And thats how they even got 11% and 10% percentages and r in 3rd and 4th.
Most youngsters would have gone for Vijay , Vikram,Ajith at the same time to Rajni, Kamal and very few would have voted for Sivaji and MGR.
I didn't say sismbu is better than Sivaji, but i said there r many ppl for who simbu is their favorite than anyone(I am not one of those). U rsuch a fool Joe.
tHIS IS JUST WASTE OF TIME FOR ME TO ARGUE WITH U FOOLS, WHO COULDN'T EVEN UNDERSTAND THE REALITY. U BETTER TALK GR8 ON RAJNI WITH UR COLLEAGUES AND BE PROUD OF THAT. DO NOT REPLY TO ME. I'LL NOT BE IN THIS THREAD(i actually have never visited this stupid rajni's thread but i had to visit bcos of the circumstances.)

Mr Prabakar
I am not a kid ok. U r thinking about me like what u did on ur 20th age. I think u probably was a kid even in ur 20th age going behind ur amma... Thats why u r thinking everyone r like u?
I am not a person who boast their achievements. Pls do give me ur email add or send me a blank email to this address prathap10@hotmail.com.
I'll tell u about my acheivements. U will surely realise ur fault. Don't worry i'll not do any disgusting things. I'm not a person like that.who knows after sometimes we 2 may be good friends. Do send me or post ur email in this thread, i'll visit this thread to find ur email.
I know how to organise my life and u don't have to advise me on that. I just visited this thread in my freetime but now I am fed up on trying to explain the reality to these fools. And i will never visit this thread again.
Sorry if i was rude too, i got angry bcos u just underestimate me like others in this thread.I can't write it here but i don't want to do that bcos it would seem like i praising myself. I'm waiting for ur reply.

Prathap,
Sorry for the belated reply as I couldn't get time to visit here. From your posting I can see you are very confident about your achievement, that's enough I appreciate and wish you to achieve your targets life long.
Yes, your are right I didn't achieve anything at the age of 20 and I don't think I have achieved anything even now to talk about that. Perhaps, I can't satisfy myself. As you know achievement is subjective and depends how you measure it.
Anyway that's not the point, What I want to understand is how a persons' achievement is undermined or impacted if one declares himself an ardent fan of an actor?

Sorry, i also didn't visit this site regularly.
I actually wanted to say that there isn't any impacts of being a fan of an actor.
Bcos some ppl here felt that being a fan of Kamal, Rajni or Sivaji... makes them proud. And they were thinking that being a fan of Vijay, Ajith... is something weird..
I wanted to say that being a fan of a certain actor has nothing to do with ur life. Thats just entertainment so doen't matter whether u r a fan of Kam., Raj. or VJ,Aji.
This is what wanted to say
