in Malaysia ethnic Indian represent by 70% of south Indian Tamils and malayali, telengu , punjabi, and ceylonese made up the rest.
But during the british colonialization, ceylonese was given priority compare to south Indian tamilans. They become clerk, tanddor and can be called as manager to indian.
During the talk for indepent Malaya..British choose EEC Thuraisingham to represent indian comunity. Now the question is how sincere there are to our society...and its become worst and i cant understand some ceylonese are looking indian(TAMIL NADU migrant as equal to dalits or pa****.
Please belef i did not made up this story they build their own temple, own priest and own custom and they also belief that ceylonese are superior race and the prefer to identified themselves as a ceylonese and not as a indian..but they are grabing all our oppurtinities.
And one moe development its seem like there is culture domination were done in certain area.
Please post your opinion.
And please Ignore the spelling mistake were done and try to understang the message.

Tamil is Tamil, why split it like Ceylone Tamil, India Tamil.
If there had been atrocities, why lot coverup and gettogether for betterment?
This might sound stupid and difficult. But, history has proven togetherness as a great power rather than fight.
Now let us analyse the state of Tamils together in Malaysia and try to bring everyone togther. Why not either of Ceylone and Indian Tamils get a step down to achive this dream?
Remember, even Srilankan tamils are from TamilNadu and our own blood...

Hi all !
Just wanted to add a few comments. It seems that there is still some divide between the Indian Tamils and the Ceylon tamils.
First things first......
Eventhough the language is the same but the way we speak it is different. The Indian tamils are toooo lozy in speaking the language properly and most of them are not bothered in coming in their own lives by emulating their ceylonese counterparts. This is in any case....slowly changing but the pace is still very slow.
I think that the Indian tamils will have to start talking the language properly first as that will command them more respect because personally, I find the way they speak Tamil to be very bad and street like. Thank you.

the person who started this forum is narrow minded prick is all i can say!!!! Why start this argument of who's greater in the person place???
We want the Sri Lankans to say they are Indians and unite..... come on guys get real...... you have disunity and hatred amongst our own community, our own back yard!!!
Every community is proud to have it's won identity and preserve that identity of theirs. If you go to New York where there are an abundance of Malayalees and they tell you to forget Tamil and learn Malayalam would u do it?? They ask you to celebrate Onam will u do it??
Lets be a little more open minded and not exert our pressure on any group just because we are a majority among the indians here in Malaysia....

This is directed at Tamil. The issue that was brought up by the person who started this topic was not about the South Indians Tamils being a majority and exerting pressure on any smaller group. The issue at hand was regarding the ceylonese who regard themselves as a superior race compared to the Tamils. Now this is a fact. Let's not deny it. It is not only one person but many Tamils would express the same thing. This has been the case since the days of British colonization when ceylonese people feel they are superior in terms of occupation, language and culture. Now I am not trying to point fingers here, this is a known fact. And don't you think that it is never right to discriminate another race or group of people just because they might not be in the same level in terms of occupation, language or even wealth. Let's face the facts here, that is how racism began. The white man felt his race was far more superior than any other. He discriminated all others especially the asians and those of darker skin colour ( africans as well as indians )and called us ignorant and backward in our ways just because we were simple people leaving simple lives and not 'sophisticated' like them. This I feel is the same pressure the Ceylonese are putting on the Tamils and it is not the other way around.
Now this is just my opinion. I am in no way a racist. This is just what I have figured from what I have observed. If you can convince me otherwise, I am always open to discussion. Peace.

All i have heard hear are indians thinking that the Ceylonese think they are more superior. I have to disagree. Times have changed and many Ceylonese couldnt care bout old historical records of their occupation in this country. You have to allow them to preserve their identity and not forgetting the ceylonese tamils have a strong and emotional cause to unite with themselves. This is because they come from a troubled homeland with many still having relatives back in Sri Lanka. However this hasnt stopped them from being united as Indians. And no ceylonese has ever claimed he or she is greater then any indian (tamil or not)! It is time we stopped pointing fingers at each other people. It is only we who hold ourselves back. Let us not be caught in a never ending debate bout racial prejudice. Let us all just move forward as Malysian Indians. People, it is the 21'st century, and let us forget bout the racial stereotype of the past please!
