The DMK and allied parties love to project themselves as the protector of Tamil language.
But consider the foll:

1. How many authoritative and referentiable Tamil books have they published? The best Tamil dictionary todate is by Saiva Siddhanta Kazhagam of Tirunelveli. Most of the literary review books are published due to charity from AVM Charities, TTD funds, Kamban Kazhagam etc. Many of these books poularize them for Non Tamil community. Nothing noteworthy from DMK. They spend their money on banners, posters, propoganda journals and in celebrations and protests.

2. DMK also takes up trivial issues such as name boards in Tamils, to divert attention from real issues. When DMK came to power, a group of goondas went around Chennai defacing all English nameboards in tar, even when the Tamil words were also written. However, they carefully omitted SUN TV nameboards, even when they were in Tamil. What dishonesty! This is DMK's idea of promoting Tamil.

3. What is the effort of DMK in promoting Tamil, among non Tamils, through translations, research projects and seminars? Very little. Their leaders are glad to spend more time with film stars than Tamil scholars.

4. How much effort has DMK put in to bring out rare works in Tamil. This has been done starting from U.V.Swaminatha Iyer, by dedicated individuals. The entire money and efforts of DMK is spent in praising and promoting the third rate writings of Karunanidhi.

5. When DMK was in power, how much money they spent on Tamil libraries. Look at the dilapidated state of District Central libraries across the state. It is a shame that in spite of so many years of Dravidian rule we do not have a single good and modern library for Tamil books.

Think about all these when these hypocrites say "Udal Mannukku, Uyir Tamizhalukku"
