It is no secret the richest people in India come from Gujaratis, Marwadis and Punjabis. They control most of the big businesses in Bombay, Delhi and even Chennai. Is the union benefitting only them. Is this title accepatable or not. what is your opinion.

  all these people have come up on their own.they do not belong to the communities you have listed.the fact is that the average person belonging to the places you have desribed especially marwadis and gujaratis are told from childhood that business is a very interesting profession and that it gives a person a sense of accomplishment.on the other hand south indians are taught by their parents to learn and work under some one especially in software.it does not matter that the graduate is from iit.he should join infosys and correct the errors in a 1000 line program designed by some one else.then receive a pathetic 18000 salary.after that he should go home and spend time with his wife and children.are the north indians to blame if south indians dont have initiative in life and are satisfied working for some one else.

  Vaidyanathan" All that is well said but if there were reservations for backwards to start industries, then this would not have happened. Like if there are 100 computor companies 98 should be reserved for dravidian backward. No will be allowed to start unless backwards have had their 98. Similarly each industry can have a quota. It is doable.
  The Dravidian leaders are working on a plan to introduce this in the parliament.Dr. Kalaignar was rebuffed by private industry when he tried to bring in job reservation in private companies. If there is a law then the companies will have to follow. Then there is no need for Dr. Miami to make Dosais and Dr. Hero to wash dishes in a mexican restaurant, Both highly qualified engineers from Anna University.

  The same punjabis and gujjus are fare more successful than tamil even outside India. Does that mean countries like Singapore and USA favor them more than tamils.
