Hello Mr. Tamilnesan, go Directely to the pudukkottai raja's palace. Go to ask are you from telugu or tamil first. And ask your from which community. They will give your back. ok
They are having total relationship with tanjore kallar community. and There are more thatn 10,000 thondamans family are in around tanjore and pudukkottai and mannargudi. For example you can ask with srilanka ex ministor also. The srilanka ministrer family also having total relationship with tanjore kallar community till now.
bye

HELLO MR PRAbu,
there may thondaman's in tamilnadu, but all thondamans are not Kallars instead you can go and ask the pudokootai place where u can get more informations that the raja thondaman of pudukottai was a telugu releted to vijayangar empire they released every thing in telegu especially their "AMMAN KASU" with telegu language this makes subramania Bharathi against them(where as Ramanad sethupathi is Thever I dont whether they are Kallar or Maravar)

wont u know that pudukkotai raja Attappan was a relative to Panchalkurichi Katabommu Naiayakkar(telegu).if that being a case how he can be Kallar(other wise if Kallar people are from AP they may be relatives)there is nothing to patronise thondamans instead prise about our great PULIDEVAN OR MARUTHOPANDIAN(Though Agamudiyar a part of Mukkolothoar only)

Folks,
Please read this article which could help in clearing some of the confusion and clarify that the thondaimans were in fact kallars

KALLAR CHARITHIRAM written as early as 1923 by a great Tamil Sholar Shri NA MU VENGADASAMY NATTAR of AnnamalaI University is also a good reference and should help in clarifying that the "pattai peyar"(surname) of most thanjavur kallars identifies the army brigades/sections that they headed.

The problem with Kallar caste history is because of the caste name Kallar. There are few questions:
1. Why did they have to be named as Kallars? The other sub-castes of mukkulathor like Maravar and Aghamudaiyar have clear cut etymological origins to Maram and Agham. In fact, maravar finds in Sangam poetry as the inhabitants of Palai land.
2. The main occupation of piramalai kallar in Usilampatti areas was theivery till fifty years back. In fact, the Telegu Naiker kings had emplyed Aghamaudaiyar guards to safegaurd Madurai citizens from Kallars. How come most of the piramalai kallar castemen were like that earlier? Even today, most of the illegal activities like Kallacharayam, Ganja and Kandhuvatti are dominated by them.
