''Tamils'' in Shri lanka seems to think that Vedic civilization and its one of derivatives that is modern Hinduism is their own heritage as against related group Oraons in Wananchal whose educated lot have become Christians.This they use as a fact to distinguish them from others in Shri lanka.Even educated Shri lankan''tamil''as well as tmil ''tribal''coastal people think they are descended from Legendary heros in various later additions to Hinduism.They take Sanskrit names Similar to Singhalese and is doing a good disguise.Some even Write books on Hinduism and launches them in the heart of Colombo in front of Indian High Commission Officers some of whom are high caste south Indian Brahamanas.They pretend to be modern descendants of Vedic people which even Lithuanians and Latvians dare not call even though their languages are the closest to SANSKRIT

  those wouldn't get sanskrit write, cause they prounounce differently cause u know why,, cause there not curries.

  all present day people has lots and lots of things to do with brahmins
  brahmins are priests. They have to pray for people do poojas come to marriage and perform recitals.
  but other people (non brahmins) in ur language dravidians hold positionslike doctors (vaishyas), khastrias (kings, queens, ministers, warriors) etc.
  
  Also ancient tamil kings like cheras cholas and pandyas used to treat both sanscrit and tamil equally. sanscit is considered religious.
  
  SO BRAHMINS HAVE EVERYTHING TO DO WITH TAMILS AND INDIANS TODAYD
