Can anyone advise if there are any published notes on Mudal Sangam other than what is there in the Tholkaappiyam.
Possible routes of identification could be from 1.SriLanka with a known history of 2500 years, (from the Buddhist writings),
2. or from assimilation from the Mayan records of Latin America. Even getting additional insights into
3. Agastya, his roots, his deeds when in South could open up a new era.
4. Nadis or olai chuvadis may have some written refernces
5. Research on Lemuria (scanty subject on the net)
6. Any under water research (marine archeology) in an around the Palk Straits and south of Sri Lanka might yield ancient tamil cities.
7. 'Tell' in Israel actually refers to a mound and invariably 'Tell' hides old ancient dwellings or establishments. Why isn't all 'medu' of tamilnadu and srilanka are not being excavated properly. The only exception is 'Arikamedu' which is still in a rudimentary stage. What about Peelamedu, Semmedu.....etc.,

//They have a Thamizh Women Army? //
sorry it should read as "They have Thamizh Women Soldiers"
You think Thamizh society is a male dominant like others? Our Ancestors made Literature rules such that we say, "Enakku appA" [Father to me] or "Enakku Manaivi" [wife to me], it tells u the relations and it doesn't go like say in English, "My Father" meaning You own or yours and My wife or husband or w/e.
By the way, Silapathikaaram was from the time AFTER SANGAM! Not from the Sangam! Silapathikaaram was sang by THAMIZH POET ILANGO ADIKAL WHO WAS A "THURAVI!!" a monk, Buddhist Monk I believe. The Story was based on a true story. There are Thamizh Poems written by Thamizh Women Poets from the past, but have you read?

listen idiots
thiruvalluvar may be a buddhist.
but his boss buddha was a brahmin who hated brahmins and hinduism.
so hinduism was present even before thiruvalluvar
and agathiyar was the great tamil poet who followed hinduism.
the name hinduism was coined most recently.
before 2000 years people were worshiping gods like shiva etc.
dravidian civilization had same kind of people as in todayd. and dravidian is the name coined most recently

Thiruvalluvar was a Thamizhar and he was a Sivaniyar. Buddhism, Jainism and Sivaniyam has similarities. Its obvious that he was a Sivaniyar..one of the statement that would disprove that he was a buddhist is his 10 kurals about not eating the flesh! Where I believe buddhism doesn't say anything about not eating the flesh of animals or etc.
The Kural
"kAmam vekuLi mayakkam ivaimoontrum
nAmam kedukkum nOii" - Thiruvalluvar
tells the fact that Jainism, Buddhism and Sivaniyam had similarities and of course many religions agree with the kural that Desire, Anger and happiness brings you sorrows.
